About Networking & Telecommunications
ITS networking and telecommunications services are provided by Communications Systems and Data Centers or ITS Comm. Services include:
telephone services for 35,000 students, faculty, and staff at the U-M Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses
data center management, data network, infrastructure applications, and video services for the Ann Arbor campus
UMnet Campus Advisory Groups
ITS Comm works with campus advisory groups to help determine and define network services.
The Network Strategy Group advises ITS and U-M Executive Officers on funding, policy and other strategic issues. The group has representatives from each major campus unit as well as representatives from several smaller units. The group meets as needed.
The UM Network Working Group provides input on technical issues and architecture.
