Meridian Voice Mail Service InterruptionPosted December 4, 2000Over the past weekend ITCom experienced a disk failure which resulted in the loss of 2787 voice mail boxes. Extensive efforts to recover the lost data have failed, and at this time the only remaining avenue is to rebuild the voice mail boxes by hand. All available staff are working around the clock to accomplish this, and the process should be completed in one to two days.Once your voice mail box is build it should begin working at once. The password will be defaulted to your seven digit phone number. All user information, such as greetings, remote notification, 0 out option, etc., will have to be rebuilt. You can accomplish this by following the menu options when you log into your mail box. Setup procedures are also available in the Meridian Voice Mail users guide. If you have difficulty setting up your mail box and wish to speak with a Customer Service Representative, please call (76)3-2000. If you continue to have difficulty accessing your voice mail box once your mail box has been restored, please call Repairs at (64)7-8888. Thank you for your patience. We will continue working until the problem is resolved.
