UMnet Backbone UpgradePosted May 1, 2002An aggressive plan to upgrade the Ann Arbor campus UMnet backbone is well underway. This upgrade was one of several recommendations outlined by the President's Information Revolution Commission (PIRC). The use of and need for networked voice, data, and video services have been rising at exponential levels in recent years. The UMnet upgrade will enable University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus faculty, staff, and students from all disciplines to continue to fully participate in a vast range of research and communication projects. Summer Rush may cause order delaysPosted April 23rd, 2002SUMMER RUSH!Over the next few months, many departments will be completing major renovations that require extensive telephone and data service order activity. This increased service order volume may cause a delay in the normal expected turnaround times. In order to have your orders completed in a timely fashion, please allow an additional 5 to 7 business days for processing.
