Station Cable and Communications Outlet Rates
A Station Cable/Outlet can provide connectivity for one to six 4-pair ports (or jacks). Either a voice or data device can be plugged into each port (or jack). The line to each port must be configured for the type of device to be connected. See Line Installation/Activation Rates.
Service for installing up to ten Station Cables is a routine order. Use the Online Service Center for placing orders. The product will be installed within 5 to 7 business days, assuming the department's responsibilities are met, and conduit is available. If conduit is not available, the department will be notified, and the total time will be U-M Plant's time to install the conduit, plus up to 7 business days. In the case of a non-standard installation environment, additional labor will be added to installation charges.

Service for installing more than ten Station Cables, renovation, or new construction is a "Coordinated Request." A Coordinated Request is handled by an ITCom Project Manager and charges are based on Time and Materials. The installation time will vary depending on the situation.
