About ITCom Telephone Services

Telephone service on campus is available to students living in University Housing residence halls and Northwood Community Apartments, as well as to faculty and staff in campus offices on the Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses. Off-campus telephone service is available from a variety of local and long distance telephone companies. Information about their services can be found in local telephone directories and on the web.

The University of Michigan owns and operates its own telephone system. Through its Information Technology Communications Services (ITCom), a part of IT Central Services (ITCS), the University provides all the administration, service, and maintenance for this system. The University has it's own internal Operator Services, providing directory assistance for University faculty, staff, students, and departments.
