Bringing Your Own Telephone Set

All University Housing residences have an active telephone line and number, but not all residences are provided with a telephone set.

If you need or want to bring your own telephone set to connect to your room/apartment telephone line, make sure it is a standard analog telephone set (not Voice-over-IP) and it has a standard RJ-11 modular cable and jack for plugging into the room telephone/voice outlet. You may also want a telephone set that includes a built-in answering system, since the University's voice mail is an opt-in, charged-for service for most students.
