Student Telephone Services

In-Room Courtesy Phone Service

This service is for students living in:
Baits, Barbour, Bursley, Cook, Couzens, East Quad, Fletcher, Lloyd, Markley, Mosher-Jordan, Newberry, North Quad, Oxford, South Quad, Stockwell, West Quad and the Lawyers Club

In-Room Courtesy Phone Service includes:

In-room telephone line and number
- for calling campus numbers and emergency services (see Campus Numbers)
- for receiving calls from any location (campus, local, or long distance)
Telephone set (except for Couzens, Lloyd, Mosher-Jordan, North Quad, all Northwood Apartments and Stockwell; see Bringing Your Own Telephone Set)
Repair Service
Opt-In General Phone Service at $10.90 per month

In-Hall Courtesy Phone Service

Hall telephones are available to all residential students for making direct-dial long-distance calls. Students need to obtain a personal authorization code in advance to make calls from these telephones. The code is used to bill out-going long-distance calls to your student account.

General Phone Service

This service is for students living in Northwood Community Apartments and residence staff living in any University Housing location

General Phone Service includes:

In-room/apartment telephone line and number
- unlimited campus and local calls
- long distance calls with authorization code or calling card
- UMphone Student Services online telephone usage statement
Telephone set (except for Couzens, Lloyd, Mosher-Jordan, North Quad, all Northwood Apartments and Stockwell; see Bringing Your Own Telephone Set)
