Setup with cable ready TV and VCR

  1. Connect a coaxial cable to the TV connector on the A/B switch and to the "CABLE IN" or "ANTENNA IN" connector on your VCR.
  2. Connect another coaxial cable to the "CABLE OUT" or "ANTENNA OUT" connector on your VCR and to the "CABLE" or "ANTENNA" connector on your TV.
  3. Connect another coaxial cable to the UMTV output on the wall-mounted face plate and to the A side of the A/B switch.
  4. Repeat with the CATV output and the B side of the A/B switch.
  5. Set your TV to channel 3.
  6. Make your channel selections using the VCR, not the TV. You can now watch UMTV when the A side of the switch is selected, and Michigan Cable Network when the B side is selected.
  7. Your VCR may have a button, switch or on-screen menu setting which allows you to select TV or CATV. Make sure it's set to CATV; otherwise, you may have problems tuning in channels above 13.
